* Freikorps used the Swastika exactly as the Nazi party later, i.e. not as a symbol of luck but as a symbol for white Aryan supremacism. When Hermann Göring's close friend von Rosen 1918 gifted two aircraft with the Swastika under the wings to the Whites in March 1918, it was directly connected to the anti-Communist ideology of the Freikorps which Hitler later adopted for the Nazi party.
